it is broadly recognised by most Australian's and across Government that, as a global city, an important gap in Sydney's cultural infrastructure is a Gadigal Cultural Centre. There is a distinct lack of places for visitors to Australia, and locals, to learn about our rich and diverse heritage and respectfully honour our 500 plus unique Indigenous communities. The Gadigal Cultural Centre proposes a meeting place for all Indigenous Communities to share their art, stories and culture with the rest of the world. A place to honour these ancient spiritual ways that will assist with healing the fabric of these communities with a new weave that connects our diverse and inclusive ways. The lore of the boomerang is that all actions shall return to their source. The centre allows the completion of a cycle for the City of Sydney that has continued since the first settlement in Blackwattle Bay. We see this as a key pillar with moving forward in truth and respect that will create economic opportunities not just directly as a key tourism attraction with on site business but through the benefits that contributing tribal communities will generate for their local area via their participation in events and promotional programs.

For more than 40,000 years Australia's First Peoples have lived in unison with our abundant environment and each other. The need for peak governing bodies or hierarchies of control was far different to what it is today. Families, elders, clans, totems, kinship systems and community gatherings have provided a forum to share their ancestral wisdom through artwork, Dreamtime stories and Song-lines. These stories teach Aboriginal culture, navigation, where to find food and water, sacred places and an understanding between people, our land and creation. Song lines travel from the coastal communities across to Uluru and back, weaving a library of knowledge between over 500 individual communities and 300 languages. In just 200 years, disease, imposition and disruption has significantly and sadly affected these cultural lines of communication and the rich diversity that each of these community's share.

A family friendly environment where the Boomerang shape neatly emerged at the chosen location doubling as a better Light Rail Stop connecting directly into an open-air amphitheatre, gallery, shop and restaurant. The location has significant historic relevance. At the juncture of land and sea, easily accessible and an appropriate venue to reflect on our past and acknowledge our ancestorial heritage and modern Australian way. An ideal venue to welcome dignitaries, hold events, exhibitions, fire ceremonies, performances and art auctions designed to entertain, educate, inspire and uplift. Our operational concept is to recognise the clan groups of the Sydney Basin as host to all Indigenous communities by curating a 'rotating calendar, where individual communities could share insights and performances from their country. Our hope was that these events could help fund further development of these communities and their cultural heritage, while reconciling, honouring and reuniting all cultures in a place of harmony. A peaceful, fun place to heal wounds and usher in a new respect for all our differences.

Our cultural center is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of our community. We offer a wide range of programs, events, and activities that celebrate our traditions and foster a sense of community. From dance performances to cooking classes, there is something for everyone at Gadigal Cultural Centre. Our center is open to people of all ages and backgrounds, and we welcome everyone to join us in celebrating our diverse community.
